History

Mariners Harbor Yacht Club, located in Staten Island, NY is a family oriented yacht club in existence since 1910, offering facilities for vessels large and small. Situated on the north shore of Staten Island between the Goethals and Bayonne bridges, a short ride to the New York Harbor. MHYC is in a unique position to offer excellent and varied waters for boating activities. Easily accessible from Brooklyn and New Jersey via Staten Island's many bridges, MHYC has several off-island members. We have approximately 50 docking slips available to members.

Throughout the season MHYC has several family oriented parties, BBQs, and fishing tournaments. We offer members on-land storage for their vessels & trailers, free launching, and water & electric at their docking slip. Other amenities include free ice, restrooms, a fish cleaning station, bait freezer and a commercial kitchen. For launching we have a ramp for personal trailers, in addition to a rail car system for various sized boats. We have both a large and small travel lift for transporting vessels around the marina.

The property is located on a secured 22,000 sq. ft. lot with an automatic gate, alarm system with motion sensors, and CCTV security system. The club-house, which has been completely renovated since Hurricane Sandy in 2013, contains a kitchen, male & female bathrooms, and a banquet hall. The hall has seating for approximately 100, a performance stage, live sound system, 2 bars, and multiple flat screen TVs. Members have used the hall for weddings, graduations, birthdays and other various occasions.

We presently have docking slips available for new members. After applying, there is a reasonably priced membership fee to join, bi-annual storage & docking fees of $30 a foot per vessel, which may be the most inexpensive price in the metropolitan area, as well as low yearly dues. All members are part owners of MHYC, and participate in work parties to help maintain the marina and its facilities. Prospective members are asked to contact MHYC at 718-534-0352. Visitors welcomed to tour the club and facilities at 3387 Richmond Terrace. However, Security gate is normally kept closed.  Recommended to call or contact us via website (at top of webpage) to set up appointment.  During warmer weather, members may be in yard and available to open gate.
